My click-and-collect experience at the Canberra Centre store was extremely disappointing.
Firstly, I received a false notification stating that my order had already been collected, even though it hadn't. When I went to the store, I was told that their tracking system was not up to date.
Later, when I received the notification that my order was ready for collection, the email instructed me to bring photo ID. I presented my work ID, which clearly displayed my name and photograph. However, the assistant manager was quite rude and insisted that she would only accept my physical driver's licence. Unfortunately, I had left it at my office, which was about a four-minute walk away, so I had to walk back to retrieve it.
After returning with my driver's licence, another staff member assisted me and advised that my work ID would actually have been acceptable for collection. This made the extra trip completely unnecessary.
Overall, the experience was frustrating due to the incorrect notifications, inconsistent information provided by staff, and the unprofessional attitude of the assistant manager. I hope the store improves both its click-and-collect process and staff training to ensure customers receive accurate information and respectful service
